I was enroute from Venice to Boston on September
11, 2001 when the WTC was attacked.
The airplane was turned back to Milan and I spent the next five days waiting
for the Boston airport to reopen.
Lake Como is about the same distance from the Milan airport as most Milan
hotels, so I made the best of a bad situation.
